Dario Ré (b. June 26, 1988) lives off-grid in the mountains above Sandpoint, Idaho. He is the lead singer-songwriter for Heat Speak, a highly collaborative and modular band featuring eclectic instrumentation including: guitars, keyboards, upright bass, violin, mandolin, cello, mandocello, ukulele, accordion, djembe, congas, percussion and drum kit. They write impassioned poetics sung in English and French supported by dynamic musicianship and intricate arrangements to create a unique blend of indie rock, chamber folk and world fusion. Typically performing with 5-8 members, they also tour and perform as a trio and with up to 12 players on stage.

Founding collaborations began in 2014 in Spokane, Washington where Ré began collecting musicians to record what became the 2017 record, Aspen Artichoke released independently under the eponymous band name Dario Ré. Following its release, a rotating cast of musicians banded around Ré to form Heat Speak and began performing throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Their second album, To Love Wind was released independently September 2020 and was only available on CD by donation for a year before its street release. In May of 2022, they released Holy Moon independently and toured it extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest. Then the  following Spring, Colorwise EP was released alongside a series of thematic artwork. Their forthcoming full-length record, de bouquet ok is slated for release January 12, 2024.

Ré is also a visual artist, avid disc golfer, permaculturist and private music instructor. He completed an MA in Art History at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec and a BA at Fairhaven College in Bellingham, Washington with a self-designed interdisciplinary concentration titled, Visual and Natural Culture: Art & Ethnobotany.
